Disparities PROJECT COORDINATOR – Connecticut  Cancer Partnership

 

 

Part Time  -- 30 Hours 

Day Shift 

Two-year grant-funded position

Salary: Min: $36.75 /hour

Location: American Cancer Society office in Rocky Hill

 

Position Summary:

This individual will support the Connecticut Cancer Partnership Health Disparities Resource Team and will work collaboratively with all partners to meet specific Cancer Partnership and NCI Community Cancer Centers Program goals related to reductions in disparities across the state, sharing lessons learned through Hartford Hospital’s Outreach Programs and supporting the expansion of these programs at a state-wide level.

 

The Coordinator will work with Connecticut Cancer Partnership committees to solicit representatives from underserved patient populations to ensure culturally appropriate strategies.

 

Position Requirements:

Ø      Master’s degree required. MPH, MSW, MSN or Master’s degree in other applicable discipline.

Ø      Significant experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, medically underserved,  (volunteer or community work.)

Ø      Expertise in relevant computer applications, including databases.

Ø      Considerable knowledge of project evaluation, including baseline and progress assessments.

Ø      Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
