Advancing cancer prevention and partnerships across Connecticut.
Advancing cancer prevention and partnerships across Connecticut.
The Connecticut Cancer Plan 2021–2026 serves as the state's roadmap for reducing the burden of cancer through prevention, early detection, treatment, survivorship support, and end-of-life care. Developed through a collaborative effort led by the Connecticut Cancer Partnership and the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the plan outlines evidence-based strategies to improve cancer outcomes and promote health equity across all communities in Connecticut.
The plan focuses on reducing cancer risk factors, increasing access to screening and early detection services, improving quality care and survivorship resources, addressing disparities in cancer outcomes, and strengthening data-driven approaches to cancer control. By bringing together healthcare providers, community organizations, policymakers, researchers, and advocates, the plan establishes a coordinated framework for action and measurable progress.
We encourage community partners, healthcare professionals, and residents to explore the full plan and learn how they can contribute to improving cancer prevention, care, and survivorship throughout Connecticut.
